i have a 94 civic with a ls/V b18b bottom b16 topend. it has never worked well but vtec works for a day or two then it throws a CEL 22 and it goes out for days on end i check oil is good a lil over. what should i check should i replace the Vtec soiloid on the head or what is my plan of action. thanks

 

Make sure you have a good ground for the vtec oil pressure switch, and clean the screen/gasket where the valve body mounts to the head. See if this clears up anything and go from there. Good luck

 

could be a bad switch, like the other guy said check the screen.

Do you have a VTEC oil pump or are you still rocking the LS oil pump?

If so do you have an oil pressure gauge and what is you oil pressure in VTEC WOT?
