What to use to rotate rear brake piston?

Default What to use to rotate rear brake piston?

I know you rotate clockwise but what can you use to rotate it? Everything I use slips out.

AutoZone sells this little block tool that has little prongs sticking out and you put 3/8 ratchet in the other end. Its in the OEM section on isle 2.

yeah look for a "rear caliper wind-in tool" or something like that...using it is self explanatory

if you havent already, try to find a straight, flat piece of metal and put it inthere sideways to get more leverage

I just use the shaft of a large screwdriver. put some ***** into it man.

if you do get the tool and the piston is still hard to push in. They probably need a rebuild.

I did my brakes over my XMas break, and we used a Pry-Bar.

where is this piston, so when i get roters I'll know to keep an eye on it if i need to remove it.

i ended up going to autozone and they had the cube looking adapter just for situations like this.

If its what I think it is then I'm sry for wastin everyones time, because I had to use a c clamp to get it to go down to get the pads back in.

DO NOT use the c clamp on the rears unless you want to make them sieze up. Fronts you use the c clamp, Rears you have to rotate them clockwise.

I used the c on the front when I had to put a new stud in.

What if you just drained the fluid out of the caliper, would that work, too, instead of renting tools?
