Ok so Im buying a 91 civic 4door automatic for 150 exterior/interior are in mint condition. One owner & its been in a garage for 6 years. Problem is he ran it with out oil (dont know why) and it stopped running. He got the head rebuilt like 3 years agon and never installed it and its in the trunk along with a new gasket set , water pump, timing belt. I want my wife to use this car as a reliable daily so not looking for performance here.
So what should I look into doing? Machine shop charges me 40 to hone it 35 to mic the crank. The walls look straight to me no scaring or anything noticible I know I need to wait untill the machine shop checks it but my questions are
Am I going to have to go with stock sized pistons or over sized ?
Can I reuse the same rods & bolts ?
I know Im probably going to need to replace the rod bearings and crank bearings
Is it safe to go with the aftermarket ACL green or whatever it is all around ???
Tranny should be good right just flush and add new fluids ???
Am I missing anything ???

sounds ok. Just have the machine shop check everything too. If he spun a bearing that needs to be checked! Replace all replaceable parts when you have it all out.
