Default Holes tapped through tubo OK???

I just received a brand new GT2860RS from ATP turbo. Upon inspection I noticed that inside the compressor & turbine housing I could see where external mounting holes had been tapped all the way through the housing. I just wanted to get a or on whether this is normal...

Looking down the inlet to the turbine, you can see the wastegate port and the holes tapped for the downpipe mounting bolts.

Looking down the outlet of the compressor you can see holes tapped for mounting the center section plate thing (whatever its called).

I just need someone to tell me this is normal or to tell me I need to send it back. Thanks, guys.

From a manufacturing standpoint, drilling all the way through the housing is less likely to produce a crack.

I wonder how much those bolts sticking up hurt flow/efficency though. I'm sure it's not much though considering every turbo I've seen has this.

Thank you for the responses, guys. Has anybody had issues with the bolts getting seized in the turbine housing? I'm considering the frequently seized exhaust manifold bolts. (But I guess that may be a factor of heat & moisture.)

Use studs anywhere you can. But if you can't, at least use antiseize lube.
