Taking apart turbo housing
Is there anything I need to look out for? I'm going to take off the exhaust housing and the compressor housing to get coated. Just wanted to make sure there's nothing I need to lookout for before I jump right in and do it.

Re: Taking apart turbo housing (porch)
If you're holding the compressor housing, make sure you put a pillow under the exhaust housing to catch it when it falls (you'll probably have to hit it with a hammer to loosen it). Also, make sure it falls straight down and not at an angle so none of the blades get touched.

Re: Taking apart turbo housing (porch)
u dont have to hit it with a hammer... iv never had a problem taking the housings off... when u lets say take off the exh housing... sit the turbo on the comp housing and undo the bolts from the bottom... then just lift the housing off... then loosen all the bolts on the comp housing in that same position and lift the center section out... thats all... just be careful how u store the center housing as not to damage any of the wheels

Re: Taking apart turbo housing (Tom)
Thanks guys, the deed is done. Pretty simple, did it exactly like tom said. I guess I just get nervous breaking open my expensive toys. It's not like the toaster when I was a little kid.
