ITR lsv swap with p28 s300 help
Well i found this p28 with s300 installed on it. The add said "plug and play" does that means i don't need to do nothing else to the ecu or do i still have to get it tuned. and if i do have to get it tuned would the s300 make it easier for me to do it my self. thanx for the help.

TBH: If your car isn't a track car, s300 is alittle overboard. I personally whent he Ls.V is complete. Using a p28 and s200. I know there are some charts out there that tell you the difference in all the models/brands. From what i read on it and all the capabilities, it won't be all utilized as a modded DD.
Someone please back me up on this if im right, not 100%. Was a while ago when i was doing the research.

The whole point of a programmable ECU is to get it tuned for your specific car.
That ECU is only "plug and play" with an OBD1 car. Otherwise you need a conversion harness. Plug and play in this case means that the engine should start. It doesn't mean that it will run well before tuning.

i have a obd2 to 0bd1 cable but i guess i do need it to get it tuned but i was reading that with s300 you could tune it your self is that true
you can tune anything yourself really. But s300 has the capability to hook up to a laptop and tune it while your driving it on the street. It will give you information as your driving it. pretty sure thats one of the bigger differences between 200 and 300
