I have a 90 civic wagon with a d15b dual point si tranny 5 speed with gsr supension. I'm looking forward to having a quick civic wagon so I was thinking turbo boost

Just need a bit info on if I'm going to need to change dual point to an actual intake mainfold? Do I need better fuel injectors or can I boost a pretty good amount on stock internals? Will a cheap ebay turbo kit be great and how much psi's will I be able to boost on stock internals? And would it be a good Idea for a chipped ecu and bigger exhaust?


I know most of you are going to say search it but really can't find a set up on a wagon with dual point and just need some really good advice please help

You should really switch to MPFI first. You will need bigger fuel injectors. You can boost low levels on stock internals just fine, but you'd probably want a refresh anyways if your engine has a ton of miles on it. Chipped ECU is recommended for tuning as well as a bigger exhaust. Stay away from eBay garbage like the plague.

look for dpfi to multi point injection on the intake question, it has been covered millions of times. Dont get an ebay turbo kit its a wast of money IN MY OPINION.

You are going to want to spend more than that on a turbo setup. The cheap ones dont last long and will tear up your motor. Save up and buy a good kit then get a good tune on the engine. It will be money well spent.

 

piecing together your own is gonna be the best way to do it on the cheap.

get a small turbo for somewhat reasonable spool, send it out to majestic turbo in TX if it needs a rebuild, hunt down a manifold and make sure you dont skimp where it counts, couplers, boost controller and wastegate selection are VERY important items, and more then one homemade turbo kit has bitten the dust because someone cheaped out on the important stuff.
