What brand do you have and what kind of bulbs do you have.

Ummm...i always see plug and play ballast burn out, or the bulb not work anymore. You get what you pay for.

OEM is the only way to go for quaility.

you can get the whole Ballst kit for 389.99 at hid planet. then get a set of projectors and retrofit

http://www.hidplanet.com/ballasts.html

If your worried about spending money then why waste money on a plug and play kit?
I mean it wont' give you any performance lighting. It will actually be worst.
But if you want to just it to look cool, then the cheapest kit you can find will do.

Rule of thumb: You gotta pay to play

for that price, I can do a whole retrofit which would be way better than a PnP kit

Ok been doing some research, but I have one question since I have been sending emails to HID planet with no response. The Gen 3 kit do the bulbs fit or do I have to do something to the HID bulb to make it fit OEM like. Thanks.

get a set of matsushita gen 3 infiniti ballasts or denso slim ballasts for 140. Then, buy a rebased D2R bulbs to fit your application (H4?)
and call it a day.

Here's a pic of them.
Left, lexus ballast (brand is Denso); Right: Infiniti/nissan ballasts (Brand is matsushita gen3)

I've bought about 9 kits from a seller on Ebay with a store called HID Gate. Installed them on my cars/bike and friends vehicles with no probs. My SC400 was the first to get the HID treatment back in winter of 06 and has had no probs. He sells the kits for about $75.00 shipped. Kick *** price and i haven't had a prob with any of the kits yet. Keep in mind that the 99 civic headlight housing sux azz and will reflect the HID light all over the place blinding on coming traffic and grabbing the attention of your local police. Look into doing a projector retrofit to your civic headlight before installing your HIDs
