no really, typically aftermarket HID's don't work the way oem ones do.
you'll probably get a better result from higher power bulb than the HID's.
Raybrigs, Polarg, and Sylvania are just to name a few.

hid retrofit ftw!
pnp hid kits produce a lot of glare and blind oncoming drivers, while an hid retrofit produces a sharp beam of light right where you need it, and doesn't blind oncoming traffic. it will cost you quite a bit, but it's well worth it!
if you're not mechanically inclined, buy the parts and send them to customlightz.com, they do some pretty good retrofits, i have a few friends who have had theirs done there. most of them had tsx projectors installed, and one of them had s2000 projectors, came out nice! but im not sure how much they charge.
im about to start my retrofit on my 96 civic. i just bought some tsx projectors and mdx shrouds, that im gonna put into 99-00 civic headlights (im doing a 99-00 front conversion) make sure you have a clear lense on the headlights. oem hid projectors work different from aftermarket halo projectors, so make sure you get oem hid projectors, they produce wider and brighter outputs.
in your case, you might not have it aimed right, or the temperature of the kit you bought has too much color and produces less light output. what kelvin are your bulbs? brand also plays a huge differece in color.
