Default Testing out a new anti theift device that could end honda theft.

I will be making a harness that snaps together with different connnectors before the ecu. So when i unclip my harness i made it so it doesnt plug up to any other honda harness to the ecu. Suggestions on this. A car theft does not carry a harness with him and do you really think hes gonna have a wiring diagram with him to then cut my harness.

I will be posting a diy if all goes well this should pretty much stop Honda theift i dont know why it hasnt been done yet.

A short little diagram
= is the stock wires
{{is m harness that i will pin and buy connectors
followed by more wires that have the plug to the stock connector that plugs into the ecu

hahah x2.

plus, if you think about it, it does not affect you at all whether he does this or not, so it really doesnt help for you to throw around negative comments. If you dont like it, just push the back button and move on. and as far as getting on honda-tech and reading it, i agree, but thats why we have multiple security features. Its not like you just rely on one security feature!

to the OP, definitely do it dude! cuz worst case scenario, it doesn't work and what did i lose from it, nothing! if it does work, what do i lose from it? not my car thats for sure! i want my em1 safe, so if this works, definitely let me know! keep us updated as much as possible!

what i was inferring is there are better methods than this. and why is it so insane for a honda to get jacked by towing. **** hit the search button son ive seen numerous cases of this happening. lojack and gps tracking are way better security than expletiveing up some wiring. but whatever do what you will

not only that but i could tow your honda with my honda easily with no towtruck its not like its an escalade.

X2 on the lojack! definitely good, but i guess if he wants to try it, i say more power to ya! but, you are right on there being better ideas, but this sounds like a potentially good idea and something to keep him busy too!

i wish i had input for ya OP, but i dont have any help, just encouraging words and support!

This project has been done similarly before. The guy made his own 9-pin "Key" that (properly) connects the critical ECU wires...

A Home-Made Ravelco-type device. Worth the while??? I'll let others decide for themselves.

Do some reading on the link and in the Audio/Security/Video Forum

Enjoy!

dude don't be an ***

a lot of cars are towed away, the fact that you didn't know this but are acting as if you know how to prevent car theft is a joke.

and you should apologize for calling someone an idiot and a moron, when you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

what do you thinks easier using a ****** truck to take a car, or getting in a car, circumventing any security, then driving it to a shop?

tard.

Default Disabled != Safe

Tow Trucks, Flatbeds, even Forklifts...
If you're not willing to accept the fact that some people will go that far to take what's not theirs, then you're only putting yourself at more risk... regardless of whether it happens to you or not.

You don't need to interrupt all the wires. Just the ignition, starter, or fuel wire. ECU plugs don't lend themselves particularly well to this because there are so many little pins to get bent and the plug connectors take a lot of force to pry apart. That's why I found different plug connectors to do this on. Check it out http://www.causeforalarm.thecarthing.com/version6

having an unstealable car may not be the greatest expletive you to a theif.. i saw this one guys car that was "unstealable" get expletiveed up to the max.. the ignition was reduced to metal shavings.. seats were gashed and every piece of glass/plastic was broken.. not to mention the body was kicked in too.

Ending thievery (is that a word?) and vandalism is impossible.

thievery is a word. it's a noun.
and vandalism is NOT impossible.. it's more likely to happen with a frustrated theif that doesn't want anybody to have a nice car he can't steal.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a thief to vandalize. Jackasses just like to go around and destroy other people's property just for the hell of it.

yea theives change by states i guess.... they all steal a car differently... im thinking not. i know people who had removable steering wheel w/ hub lock, alarm, ecu taken out and they had their car stolen right in front of their house. Not beleiving that it wont be towed is ignorance and someone should be kicked in the ***** for saying "they dont do that"... it happened to my friend.

to the OP your car will get towed and stolen now that you say "theres no way they tow cars" you better start knocking on wood buddy.

there are little tricks you can do without a theif noticing even if that pop the hood and look around. I was told one by my dad and it works quite nice..... better than any alarm or fuel cutoff switch. I dont want to post it though cause i dont want a theif on here to read it and pick it up if they have never seen it. :/

haha i thought i was all alone. the main reason i was being a dick is that he slated it as "THE END OF ALL HONDA THEFT" which is a very bold claim. better me to be a dick and point out flaws in the security then a thief in the middle of the night when the op is in his bed thinking his car is safe.

also classic **** that he thought he was the OG security guy coming up with some new fantastic ****. pleeeease talk to suspendedhatch he's the OG on security from everything i hear.

plus screw effing with wires when a well placed shot will scare any thieves away
