Default stock sleeves

Hey guys, whats the hightes boost level you guys would run on stock sleeves ? Ive read a lot of things here on HT, about boost is irrevelant it's horsepower that matters. I know b16 sleeves are good to about 500hp, which is more than i need i'm hoping for 400whp btw. The reason I ask is i have a stock sleeved fully built b16 with a block guard, and 2 different performance shops have told me not to run over 15-16psi and the guy who did all the bottom end building/ machine work guaranteed me i can run 18-20 with no problem. I want to run 18-20 and i'm just about to get it tuned what do you guys think is safe for stock sleeves

over 700 on stock sleeves for a little while maybe.

and he is right about the psi not the issue.
my friend made 600 on stock sleeves fir 1 dyno run, then went boom.

at that level, any hiccup is usually catastrophic.

It's all in the tune...as long as you run moderate boost.

PSI is too relative to matter across the boards, son.

X2 it depends if your going to run 18-20psi on a stock 14b or a gt35r... psi really doesnt matter

On an SLS ramhorn w/ a 57 trim and 110 octane, SLS's white hatch made 451.9whp at 24psi on a piston/rod/stock sleeve setup w/ a B16. Then proceeded to run a 10.47

Why not spend a little bit of cash for an after market sleeve which at the end of the day will give you a peace of mind.

cheers..

I have my GSR with only rods and pistons for over 2 years boosting 25lbs making well over 500whp and no issues. For stock sleeves good tunner and C16
