Default planning on turbo...question

ok so im planning to boost my b18c1 ...the quest ion i got is do i have to sleeve my block ? if its a stock sleeve do i have limitations as to how much psi i can have and whatnot? what would the advantage of having a sleeved block have over stock sleeve? Thanks

you can boost on stock internals. I seriously suggest that you search before you post though

no i am not boosting on stock internals...getting 9 to 1 comprssion je pistons and crower rods...its just sleeving that worries me....

how much do you plan on boosting?

i'm one who'd rather do it right and be safe... iron sleeves

but if you only plan to run modest boost (which i doubt) than stock sleeves should hold up ok...

remember that intake manifold pressure doesn't break anything. if you're running 25psi, not detonating on the gas you're using, and only making 200whp, then you probably won't crack a sleeve. if, on the other hand, you're making 450hp at 12psi you run the risk of cracking a sleeve.

yea you can boost on stock internals just depends on what amount of boost you lookin for if ur goin 14 psi or higher u might want to
