Im looking to run some pushloc hose insted of regular braided lines for my turbo coolant ports, I wanted to know something before I get the pushloc hose, Do I need to heat the hose before attatching it to the hose end? Or does it just push on? I never used it and looking into it, Can somone help me out?? Thanks guys!!

i've used the parker pushlock hose before. i lightly sprayed the barb/hose with some silicone lube and it went in fine. once it's together though the only way it will come apart is by cutting, that stuff holds very tightly.

Nothing is needed, just push on dry...

nothing is needed, but you have to be strong to get the fitting on all the way.
one trick that works awesome, is to microwave a coffee cup with water for like 2min, then dip in the end of the hose and push it on. the heat will not hurt it, and makes it wayyy easier to get it on.

This thread sounds scarey.

But yea, give it some consistant force, then it will go in and locks itself. Not sure about anything above 10an tho. Gl.

up to -12 that i am aware of, i have it on my catch can.

this may sound stupid but the dude at my hydraulics shop said the best thing to do is to push the hose onto the fitting, not the fitting in the hose. sounds weird, but works for me.

What I do with Aeroquip's socketless hose is to put the fitting against the work bench, then press the hose onto the fitting.
