Default added Sta-Bil now my teg wont start.

about 2 weeks ago i added some stabil to my tank because my car had been sitting for about 3 months and i was concerned that there could be some problems. that day, the car started just fine, now it just turns over and over and over all day long. the battery is brand spanking new so that's definitely not it.

any ideas? thanks.

any cels? are your sure your getting spark and fuel? check all your fuses, ground wires to be tight, do you hear fuel pump priming.... check all those and let us know about each them, will help narrow down whats wrong...

fuses are good... how the heck to do i tell if the fuel pump is priming? i will say that i can definitely smell fuel after i let it crank for about a minute so i'm assuming its working.

when you turn the car from off to the on position without starting it you will hear the humm of the fuel pump coming from under your rear seats...

Did you have a full tank of gas when you parked your car?

Has the weather been wet? Last time that happened to my car we had tons of rain and i guess the wires or distributor cap was wet because i sprayed some wd40 on them and waiting 10 minutes and it fired up first crank.

no. the tank was almost empty. in fact, it actually ran out of gas when i was warming it up and that is what prompted me to get more gas 'laced' with sta-bil. when i added the gas, it started right up... that was about 2 weeks ago.

my guess would be that when you ran your tank dry you may have clogged up one or more injectors/fuel filter and thats why it isn't starting.

maybe pull the fuel rail lift out the injectors and see if they all are flowing decently

hope this helps

Always check for fuel and spark first. Could be your distributor
