i had no TPS on my car( unplugged) TPS was bad but my car ran great, it idle a little high in winter until it got to operating temp. i replaced my throttle body n got TPS working ( No Check Engine Light). Then my car started surging to the level that it would noramlly be idleing (IACV controlled rpm for that temperature) say 1000 - 2500 say 50 degrees. I read the thread removed both the IACV units off the car , removed the seals and cleaned them. no blockage in the ports or hoses! I reset the ECU n started it up and let it idle ( without touching the gas) it surged untill it got warm then it idled great. I let it cool down all the way, n started it back up, it still surged untill it got warm! is the IACV bad? if so why no check engine lights? Does it take a few drive cycles to stop? I have a IACV off of a Dseries it will bolt right up but id have to extend some hoses considering there on a different side of the IACV. should i swap it n see ?
any help greatly appreciated

Look under the hood or on the drivers door for a sticker that says WHAT YEAR your Accord is.
it might be that you are low on coolant or need to adjust the FITV

wasnt low on coolant! but when u read the FITV n IACV cleaning thread u have to read carefully, some how i missed the the most important step, ADJUSTING THE FITV, i find this pretty funny that i missed that step and wrote this thread stating that i had just done it n u told me there was still a problem in the FITV. Took 3 min to tighten up, (8 full turns) and it idles crispy clean 45 degrees out side 1400 rpm.
thanks 4 the help
now i can charge 30$ at work to fix that problem on any older honda n probably less than 15 min, lol
