Default Idle Problem

Alright guys i got a d15b7 bolt on mods, and when i start my car up in the moring, im guessing it idles at about 3,000 rpms ( i dont have a working tach it dosent work at all) and the it surges, it goes from 3,000 to 1,500 probly and dose this for about 30 mins of driveing then after a while of driving even when its warmed up it'll just stay at a high idle? and ideas? i need HELP

throwing at CEL? Could be a bad IACV. or just dirty

have you tried adjusting your idle screw located on your throttle body?

yeah and it worked for a while, it idled right, then suddenly it just started going back up again, then i finally turned the idle screw all the way to the right which tighend it all the way and it didnt make a difference

have you tried cleaning the iacv? maybe spraying some carb cleaner in the throttle body.

no i havent, should i take the iacv off any spray carb cleaner in it?

i replaced mine 5months ago, it was around 300 something. not more than 330.

If you still have a problem, I would say to check out your ignitor.

Its located inside your distributor. It is a resistor that connects to you coil and magnetic pickup. Do a search on testing it. I knew it was the problem with my car so I just replaced the whole dizzy.

Okay update, i just replaced the iacv and i just recently like 2 months ago put in a brand new dizzy, any suggestions now?
