Default Surging idle help....

ok, put on your thinking caps for this one. i posted before i needed help with a high idle problem on my b20. i got that taken care of but now its surging up and down. i was doing some trial and error yesterday. the car was surging, so i turned it off, unplugged the TPS, let it sit for a min, then started it back up. i let it warm up for a min or two, gave it some throttle, no surging at all. WTF?! so i shut the car off, plugged the TPS back in, let it sit, turned the car back on and it was surging right away. how could the TPS have something to do with the surging? WTF? anyone?.....thanks....

Clock your TPS to .5 V at idle and 4.5-5V at WOT. If that does not work try cleaning it. It may be sticking.

The OP posted this thread more than 6 years ago. He's likely moved on.
