Switched out the ecu for my friends h22 and...problems again. :(
Ok so if you saw my last thread about my friends car and his problems he basically had idle problems, no vtec, and the car would die many times.
We bought a new ecu and ripped out the old one put in a new on and it starts up fine now, idles smooth as well. However, the engine will not go past 3000 rpms. It bogs down and acts almost like a rev limiter. I'm assuming the engine is basically choking. I think its his ecu and that it needs to be programmed for the engine and this altitude. Am I right?

Ok so after reading those I'm assuming that we have to fix whatever problem is making his CEL go on before it goes off of limp mode?
Cause his CEL is on. I am going to run a diagnostic with my grandfathers computer (He used to own a shop just last year) and see what the CEL is on for. And then try to figure it out from there.
