Default ECU Problems

Installed H22 into a Prelude that was a H23. Car started with the p13 ecu that was sent but would hit the rev limit at 3,000 rpm. Put the p14 ecu in and car would start and rev fine. called the engine company to have them send me a new ecu, while waiting for that week, i went to start it the other day just to move it and neither ecu will start the vehicle. Now with either ecu in the car when you jump the diagnostic plug to check the engine codes, the check engine light stays on...

does anyone have any idea why this would be happening...

have you checked for fuel and spark? what obd was your car originally? and what obd is the new h22 motor? did you do all the wiring/sensor changes needed for the swap?

How was it running with the P14? Who did your wiring for you?

The light staying on is usually one of two things

1. You didn't jump it properly - BAD CONNECTION
2. Bad ECU
