car shakes when shifting
my CRX with a b18c, bounces (rocks back and forth) when shifting into 1st and 2nd mostly as if a mount was broken but i have hasport mounts that are solid and motor does not budge. if i grab the header and try to move it, the whole car will move but the motor will not budge..... what could cause this? p.s. i have the stock suspension on the car. could this cause the issue?

just because your mounts aren't broken doesn't mean they aren't moving. check the tightness on all of your mounting bolts, if the problem persists, i'd recommend looking into a front mount like something from innovative mounts.
It sounds like from your description that the whole car is rocking and not the motor, right?
If that's the case, then the soft stock suspension could be causing what you feel.

anybody else have this problem? i kinda have to ride the clutch a bit just to get it to shift smoothly. but only for 1st and mostly 2nd gear. if not it'll give me a huge jerk back and forth.

well, since i was the original OP i figured i chime in. im sure it was a mixture of things that contributed since my car is a 21 year old car but the main issue was tuning. if not tuned properly, the IACV will make your car a nightmare to drive. its surprisingly contributes allot to how the car shifts into different gears and how it recovers when putting it in neutral. when shifting from first to second the motor would almost drop on its face causing a violent jerk when the clutch reengages while the IAC helped keep the revs a little higher between shifts. hopes this helps others.
