I have a 94 honda civic. It is stock. I deliver in the car. Has never given me problems until sunday. On Saturday I worked all day no problems. Made it home fine shut it off and went to sleep. Next day woke up and tried to start the car it would not start. The gas was low so I put more gas in to make sure that was not the prob. still did not start. It seems like it is not getting spark or gas. But when I was trying to start it the exhaust smelled like gas so i don't think it would be the fuel pump. Maybe no spark?? what should I check for? please help I need the car for work.

 

it takes air, fuel, spark, and compression to make it run. first make sure your intake isnt clogged with ****. then use a spark tester to see if your getting spark. if so then listen to see if the fuel pump is working. if you turn your car to the run not start position, you should hear a buzzing noise from the trunk area. if so then the pump is good. i forget how to check the injectors for flow. anyway then if your fuel is good, use a compression tester to see if your cylinders are sealing. all should be with in 15 psi of eachother.

 

how old is your battery? even though some things are working it may not have enough juice to turn the motor over especially with all the driving you do with that car starting it all the time and what not. also you should check your alternator and check for any loose or damaged grounds. is your car manual? if so try to bump start it with a couple of friends or if ur near a hill just roll it down and let out the clutch. few things to get you started...
