Default Need help please! JDM GSR into 2000 civic ex 'Questions?'

OK im in the middle of this swap, I have a 94 gsr going into a 2000 ex, im using the ex engine harness. need some help!

Questions
I have a 98 dizzy, is this plug and play?

Do i need to cut and solder the old injector plugs and use the gsr's injectors...or... should i use the ex injectors?

I'm pretty sure that you still will use our EX injectors and also the 98 should be plug and play cause its OBD2. Should not be a problem at all. Try it first then see if there is a problem and get back to me or something

A 98 B-series VTEC dizzy? It will work. You're going to need to re-wire the Alternator and Injectors, or get some that are OBD2 (The D-series injectors will work, but I'm unsure whether or not they're 240cc's like B-series). Other than that, it sounds like you have everything to make your swap plug and play...

If your car is a 2000 ex it's going to be obd2b and a 98 would be obd2a so that may be why it's not plugging ???,, not 100% sure if there's a diff in the dizzy cause of that so someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

When Talking about 0bd2a and 0bd2b Its refering to the ECU plug's not engine harness.

Thanks! Im thinking of just cutting the wires off my D16y8 distributor and solder them on my 98 dizzy by just matching the wires. Will this be ok? Any comments will help. this is my last hold up!

rather than repin the dizzy, you can just use a 98+ integra gsr dizzy right? and if u had obd2 98 integra gsr injectors, wouldnt it be a plug n play as far as the injectors go?

Yeah but i already bought a P73 distributor and dont want to buy another one.

And my motor is a 94 gsr, so i used the EX injectors. those were plug n play

use your old injectors, with your existing wiring harness, the alternator plug should fit.

also, if the dizzy on the gsr doesn't match up to your existing wiring harness, you can fabricate up a dizzy conversion harness yourself or buy one (like $130 or so) but search up google or something for obd distributor harness or something like that....thats how i did it for my b16a3 swap into a 99 civic ex

sorry i missed the first post somehow, but i believe the 98 dizzy is obd2a which is 1 plug that has 2 thick wires on the bottom...i think there is a thread here on how to fabricate up a conversion harness yourself, just search for it.

oh....sorry i missed another part of the first post, i take it the gsr motor is obd1 and has an obd1 dizzy? you can either use any obd2 b-series alternator or just splice the wires (color matching as close as possible ofcourse....or just do a search, thats what i did for my swap)

hope this helps
