buy a haynes manual at the least, a helms if you can swing it. its pretty simple though if you mechanically inclined you should be able to just look at it and figure out what you need to do. ill give you the quick rundown.

REMOVE THE SPARKPLUGS AND PUT THE MOTOR TO TDC

1. drain coolant
2. disconect radiator, sometimes its easier to just remove it so you have room to work
3. disconect all electrical conections goign to the head and intake manifold
4. disconect fuel delivery fuel return
5. take of intake, or disconect airbox whatever you have
6. disconect all hoses attached to the firewall and the block and disconect the throtle cable
7. unbolt the exhaust manifold.
8. take the valve cover off.
9. slip the timing belt off the camgear.
10. unbolt the head bolts starting from the outside working inwards in a cross pattern. losten the bolts a little at a time.
11. pull the head and intake manifold all attached together.

Just take your time and keep organized. Even if you've been walked through the process before, you should have no problem by yourself.

Agreed. Going too fast fixing a motor is like shaving fast - not a good idea.

Haynes/Helms is almost as good as having someone looking over your shoulder.
