JDM front Value $$ +/- topic again....feedback please
okay..sorry to post about almost the same thing again....Earlier I made a post asking if a Jdm front will de-value my car or not. But If you guys were in my situation what would you guys do. Its a hard topic to even answer.
I recently had a minor frnt end accident. I can get the JDM conv. for nothing since the USDM parts are almost equal to JDM Conversion which is OEM honda Japan.
Now, with the economy so low and parents laid off from work Im planning to sell it in a fewmonths time. Would you guys keep the USDM front and cancel the JDM conv. since the shipment is still pending, or would you just go JDM. I'm just worried. If I keep it I want JDM no doubt. But if I sell it, JDM or not>?

when i got in an accident a long time ago, i decided to keep the usdm front. I regretted it so bad, until I finally got the jdm front a year later. My advice, do whatever it takes to get the jdm front, and don't worry about it devaluing your car, cause it won't.
Get the USDM if you're going to sell soon. Generally any modification will decrease or compromise the value of the car, JDM conversion included.
If I was in the market for an Integra (including an ITR), I would happy pay up to $2000 more for a car that already has the Japanese nose conversion. OEM sheetmetal of course.
A car with a fiberglass kit should be worth less than stock.

if i had to choose between a stock r and a converted one, i'd buy the stock one....unless the conversion was exceptional in quality and execution, equal to pass as "oem" quality outside and under the hood....with a stock one, i know what i'm getting. however, seeing a converted one would leave an impression in my mind as a buyer that the car was probably involved in a collison, which would be your case
but, a usdm one would not be as doubtful as a jdm front.
if you were keeping the car, i'd say go for it...i would. but honestly, i don't see a point in your case since you are pretty confident your selling soon. it would just be another hurdle you'd have to cross to reach the price you want later on. you already know the car will fetch a decent price as is now with a usdm front because of its history...but a jdm front might create a shadow of doubt later on..kinda like "shooting yourself in the foot". however, you might get lucky and sell it for more to a "stunna" down the line...who knows?

I have records of every single thing, right down to my windshield that just got replaced. Im going to get my bumpers fixed soon, and I will be taking before/after pics as well. When I say "No accidents" I want the buyer to know Im not f*cking with him/her.

exactly what i was going to say. jdm front ends could mean heavy frontal collision. document whats up with your car and you won't have any problems selling with a jdm front end. it'll be much easier actually. easy to locate a teg with stock front end...not so easy if its jdm front
