Vibrant Adjustable Timing Belt Tensioner

For the average commuter who replaces their timing belt on a regular basis and doesn't spend the majority of engine operation in the 8,000rpm zone, the OEM setup is just fine. But high-rpm engines can stress Honda's belt in ways B-series engineers never imagined. Making sure that the belt is replaced on a regular basis; that the OEM tensioner is installed correctly and in good working order; and accompanying the system with a supplemental tensioner like Vibrant's is a good start to ensure the timing belt is the last place you'll find your next problem.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Logically, wouldn't you need to change the belt every so often anyway due to normal wear n tear? Unless you're running some specially designed race belt, I don't see the purpose of this tensioner (As they've stated).
I personally don't see much need for it below 9000 rpm, but above that anything to add stability can always help!
Obviously somebody thought it would be a good idea and it looks well thought out, btu what the real merits are only someone who has run it can say.

i dont see areason for using this. i thinks the honda t belt tensioner works just fine. besides the way the have it set up seems like its putting more tension on the belt which will make it strech sooner than normal.
my tuner said for the guys who seriously race and shift at 10,800rpm its a good part, but for the normal street guy or weekend racer you dont need it...

Its designed for people running big cams with very still valvesprings. It keeps form skipping teeth.
I use one on my all motor b16.

I like it, with the timing belt in stock mode it has between 19 and 23mm of belt play.
Start your car and rev it up and down and watch your belt it slaps BIGGGG time.
With aftermarket cams and valvetrain, i would be careful with high rpms.
I sell them pretty frequently as I am an engine builder.
Let me know if your interested in picking one up!
