Block Notching ????????? D16z6 vs. B18B1
I read this Post on the D16Z6 build notching the block for Eagle H beam rods
<< https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2114631>>
i had never heard of this til just recently
i just built a b18b1 with eagle rods and forged pistons put it all together
and im getting a "ticking" noise from the bottum end
you can hear it from idle all the way up havent taken it past 3k rpms but you can hear it all the way up to that
i took it all apart and re plastigaged everything on the buttom end all of them meeting an even .0015 clearance on all bearings so that should be in specs and not the cause of the noise
So im curious if anyone has had to notch their block for H beam rods in a B18 Setup ?????

Upon further inspection of my block and looking very closely at the bottum of the cylinders it looks like my rods have hit just a tiny tiny tiny bit
so if this helps anyone im glad cuz it drove me crazy for the last 3 days trying to figure out what that sound in my block was
im just happy i dont have to replace pitons or rods or bearings 8)
