Oil Pressure Switch? By the oil filter? B20 vs B18
Working on a 1991 Integra LS. I recently replaced the original motor and put in a B20. The B20 motor was a newer motor. The only difference was that in the back of the block, next to the oil filter, it only has the oil pressure sensor. Single wire sensor. The original motor had a second sensor next to the oil pressure sensor which has 2 wires going to it. So i went ahead and took off the plug on the B20 and installed the sensor that was originally in the LS. Hooked it up and now the oil light inside the cluster comes on. I really dont think its the oil pump as the motor sounds good. Can anyone tell me why this is? Could it be that sensor?
Deuce Deuce, it's the sensor. I have the same issue, my oil pressure switch is loose so it expletives wit my oil light; doesnt seem to make any problems for me besides that light coming on. replace switch and/or ignore it
What do you mean its the sensor. I want to know what its called. I know the single wire sensor right next to the oil filter is the oil pressure sensor. My question is what is the two wire sensor next to that?
I believe the 2 wire sensor is the water temp sensor. On the b20, that sensor is located on the thermostat housing, with a plug style instead of the separate wire connectors.

It might also the the oil temperature switch, but I don't think that connects to the ecu; only to the fan timer control.
