check engine light..please help

Default check engine light..please help

im clueless about what is goin on with my car..so im driving down the street and all of a sudden im getting no power to the car when i step on the gas..then i start pumping the gas a the start gettin power again..this went on for like thirty seconds..the car was still on motor was still running..everything normal but when i step down on the gas nothing was happening..no rpms no nothing..i was jus cruising...then a the check engine light comes up and my car is fine..it drove fine and everything..the thing is when i turn my car off and let it seat..and start it to drive again..no problems..then all a sudden the same **** happens again..dnt know whats wrong..hopefully someone can help..o yea could the crank position sensor have something to do with this..someone please help me out

Is the CEL still on... if it is go get it read/get the code.

i have a different computer..then what my car came with...and i cant read the codes

hey bro it could be a faulty tps sensor.. that sound like what happend to my old crx..

right above the kick panel under the dash on the driver side there should be two connectors that are in a little green rubber holder, the one connector should only have two wires going to it... pull that one out and jump it by bending a paper clip into a U and then turn the car to the on position with out actually starting it.... the CEL should start blinking... count how many times it blinks and that will tell you what code it is...

i was told to do this by a really good tuning shop round where i live and i will try and find the website where you can go look and he has on it what eash code number is...

ok here it is, it explains how to do it, where the connector is and what each code is and how to read it... it has the code numbers for if its a sensor or electrical...
