When i remove the A.C.....Where does the Freon leak out?
Is it just basically remove the hoses that wrap around the condensor? I know about the hoses that wrap around to the passenger side of the car by the intake. I wanna keep the heat and the blower...but i want to remove the ac...condensor! Any help would be appreciated dudes Newbie i know

its not safe for the enviroment or its illegal or something, but there is a bleeder valve on the hardline at your core support that you can let all the freon bleed out into the air from....not that i condone this, but.........you dont have to pay anyone
Yeah... you can just unscrew one of the fittings on the AC lines and let the freon spray out... but like the last guy said... you didnt hear that from me, since last I heard letting freon out into the atmosphere is illeagle....
Youre best, safest, most legal bet is to go to a place that does AC and let them discharge the system.. I doubt it costs much...

thats what i am saying...it can't be too much. How much does it cost to CHARGE the system? One ******** wanted 200 at some local riceboy shop to remove the whole AC. and i am like all i need is the freon OUT and ill do the rest. Damn people tryin to make money off some bullshit!!

see those two plastic caps? pick one..depress valve like a car or bike valve stem..wallah..becareful..be sure to breath deeply around this region while performing such a task.j/k
yeah just undo a valve or unhook one of the hoses on the condenser to let it drain. a little may shoot out and hiss and wut not, but its not much fluid. oh yeah and make sure you do this in a place where no one can see you
When I did my swap in my 92 VX I took out the A/C. It was still charged with the old R12 refrigerant. I loosened the bleeder valve and released the freon into the heavens. I probably just took a few seconds off everyone's lives and got a little lightheaded in the process.

thats pretty funny! So instead of depressing one of the two caps like a bike tire...i can just disconnect a hose to or from the condensor and have it leak out where nobody is watching? Then i remove what?? Be specific cause i am a newbie
I know that i cap off the end of the hoses that run past the radiator and off on the side of the passenger side (by intake)...but then what exactly do i take out?? Thanks! By the way...do i have r34 or r 12? i never got it updated and its a 95 so i assume r12!

Ok first take off your A/C belt from the A/C pulley. Then undo the the mount that holds the A/C compressor the the car- make sure you just unbolt the A/C compressor mount not the engine mount itself. Then there should be a canister next to your windshield washing resevoir that has hoses running from it to the condenser, unbolt the canister so that its loose (may take some maneuveing of the winshield fluid resevoir). Then i believe all you have to do is unscrew those two metal hoses on top of the condenser, and other mounting bolts for the fan, and any harnesses. Just check around all the A/C components make sure everything is disconnected. Then I do believe the that whole part (condenser, fan, compressor, canister and hoses) should pull out. Thats I can think of off the top of my head, though i might have missed a few little steps

Good luck.
