AC removal...hmmm...I know there are a ton of posts about this....well Drain your Free On or however you spell it. They you have to remove the pump..you will need no special hoses or anyting...You ac and heat are totally different there will be no effect. So do a search for more specific instructions but this might help...

you would have to go to an machanic, unless you have a r-134a machine that can vaccum the old freon out, then go from there.

yes, you have to get the freon taken out properly or it wil kill the ozone layer. freon is a catalyst meaning once released in the air, it will destroy the ozone layer over and over again. freon doesn't die out in the atomosphere, well it takes like 15 - 20 years to...
other than this, you can get a $5000 fine if caught letting it out in the air.

judging from ur avatar pic, u have an EF right?
if ur air is still cold, than u should have a good amt. of freon in it.
i'd pay the $30 or so to get it taken out. well, that's me at least...

Fawk the ozone, let the sh*t fly...

All you have to do is release the system pressure, remove the lines, compressor (Make sure you leave the mount on though), condensor, receiver/dryer, and evaporator core.

I also made a blockoff plate out of sheetmetal, to cover the hole in the firewall where the AC lines attached to the evaporator core underneath the battery tray.

I wouldent worry about it.....Its proably out of freeon anyway.
So if you can run out or whatever happens dosent that mean
it leaks into the atomosphere? Whats the difference if you do it
all at once or if you do it over a period of a few years.

Happy the cx didnt come with it.

all right drain your r134a or freeon then pull the belt to the ac compressor, remove ac compressor and then the condensor and your lines and your done and it shouldn't affect your heat
