Removing A/C...is there any GOOD way to do it??
I started the turbo install on my integra and now its time to remove my a/c. Can anyone tell me if there is a "safe" way to remove it? My a/c worked really well so i know it's full of R-12. And i know that stuff is very toxic...any ideas?? My idea was to disconnect the lines going into the evap and those are a self sealing lines so just a little would leak out...and then remove the a/c as one whole unit. Idk it sucks i have to remove it while it still worked so well but what can you do. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

If you want to be a good upstanding eco-friendly citizen , call around to shops and ask how much they would charge to just evacuate the system. It only takes about 5 minutes to hook up the machine and evac. Plus they can keep your r12, which is like $30 or so per lb.
