Quick audio question........ Are the back speakers 6.5's???
I was told by one person they're 5.25 all around, then someone else told me that the backs are 6.5. Which one is it??
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
yes 6 1/2 in tha back and 5 1/4 in the front.
The tweeters should be a universal size.
I went to http://www.crutchfield.com and it is 6.5 for both front and back, but 5.25 fits w/ no probs though.

the factory speakers are 6.5s in the front and back. Aftermarket 6.5 speakers will not fit into the factory mounting baskets. You will need to either use a dremel and cut the back of the baskets out or go the easy way and make some new mounting rings with 3/8" plywood or MDF and a jigsaw. (did this last weekend) The factory tweeter brackets will not hold an aftermaket tweeter, but with a small nut and bolt superglued to theback of an aftermarket tweet, it fits perfect into the factory spot. If you plan on running new 16 gauge monster cable to both door locations, set aside about 3 hours to pull the factory harness plugs out of the doors and drill holes in the plug to pass the new wire through. I also did that last weekend, took a bit of time, but the sound quality was very noticable over the factory 20 gauge wire.

many 6.5" aftermarket speakers are too large for the front doors. Largest JL Audio speakers I fit in the door were 6".
I had to use the dremel on the factory speaker locations to get aftermarket speakers to fit. I put tweets in the rear as well
