Luckily noting was damaged
I never even noticed it was damaged until I saw a hole in it.

That happened to me too. But the rotor stayed on the dizzy and the screw was sitting in the cap. Screwed it back in and was good to go.

glad nothing got too screwed up. i've seen that a few times. the original factory screw can be a bitch to get out, but the replacement screw doesn't always stay in. good idea on the loctite.

My rotor separated from the metal. When I removed the screw the rotor came off but there was still the metal piece that the screw is in on the shaft.

Loctite

all i can is 1 word of advice
use the FACTORY cap since is has a lock washer built into the hardware, and a threaded boss that will not let the screw back so easily..

Oh and it was the Rotor screw that let loose. Never herd of a cap letting go.

Same thing happened to me too, it broke off a few little pieces on the rotor. Second time my rotor screw undoes itself! Damned liberals!! Lol
Anyways, gonna try loctite tomorrow, while installing a new rotor

that **** happened to me twice.. first time it just did the same thing to the cap and then busted the rotor so it would spin freely on the dizzy shaft... second time i put a shitload of loctite and it came off after 8k miles and it busted my cyp sensor.. now i need a new dizzy... next time.. im leaving the [freak]er out.. who needs a rotor screw.. seriously where is the rotor going to go?
