Default Stripped flywheel bolt!!!!!!

I'm trying to take off my flywheel so I can put it on the other motor, and I've managed to get all the other bolts loose except for the last one. It's the biggest bitch ever. I've tried visegrips which is my only alternative at the moment to try and get it off, but it just rounds the bolt off more. What the hell do I do? 87lbs FTL!!!

Use a pipe wrench they do wonders . I have used it for many stripped bolts and it has always worked.

You have a couple of choices.

You can try and use a chisel and a hammer and try to loosen the bolt by hitting just the edge to loosen or...

You can also use a hand grinder (I know it sounds crazy) Grind off the head of the bolt but do not hit the flywheel. All the torque is in the head of the bolt once you grind it off the bolt will easily back out. I have done this many times, and it has worked every time.

find one socket smaller that you dont care about, hammer it on there good, attach breaker bar and it will pop right off. may want to hit it with a good about of pb blaster and some heat before

-or-

if you have a welder, tack a nut on the head
