K20 roll call Axle related
Since K20a.org is all over the place with this question i wanted to start another thread here to see if there is anyone else out there, with new options.
Please only respond if you can list the following:
1) motor
2) motor mount kit used
3) transmission
4) type of car (88-91) hatchback, crx, sedan.... (don't respond if it is not listed)
5) amount your car is lowered
6) axle combination (ex: dss stage 2 axles, or rsx type s axles with b series outers, or straight up base axles)
7) was this setup road tested?
yes it seems like a lot, but every car is different. I think that this is the most relevant info needed.
any help would be great appreciated

I have 2 sets with lifetime warranties. For the price, I figured I would give them a shot. If they don't work out for me, I'll look for an upgrade. I only see a realistic problem with breaking axles if and when I decide to use slicks. That is why I have 2 sets.

well since i just installed my axles i figured i'd list my setup as an update
1) motor - K20a2
2) mount kit - Hasport EFK1
3) transmission - K20a2
4) chassis - 90 CRX Hf
5) amount your car is lowered - 2.5 inches
6) axle combination - rsx base
7) was this setup road tested? - sort of
As i went to reverse out of the garage, the axle "popped" not out of the intermediate shaft or the hub, but the axle joint, like it was stretched. This is the passenger side axle.
I have a feeling that axles are going to be a headache for me with this swap. I am going to try to take out the axle and put it back in and see how that works.

if the axle is stretched, or popped out already, why just take it out and put it back in? you're lucky it happened in the driveway and not on the road. i hope you find a solution
edit: sorry no k-swap yet, i forgot not to post. you can delete this if you want, i'd just hate to see anything bad happen to you or your ride

just thought i'd update this. The axle problem i thought i had was more like a transmission problem.
what i thought was a great deal on craigslist turned out to be a piece of ****, which i should have known coming from craigslist
Take a look:

Well now it gave me a reason to rebuild with a BRAND NEW 2nd gear set, and LSD. trans rebuild done by me, feels awsome now.
IN CONCLUSION:
Base axles are working on my setup
will update again when i test it against 22" slicks
