89 honda civic si hatch check engine light
out of nower evrytime im driving i get check engine light..but wen i turn it off then turn it back on ..the check engine light is gone..anyone noe wats da problem???
Have you checked the code when the light is on? It would help if you can get us the code.
If you don't know how to, your ECU is under the carpet in the passenger footwell. There is a red LED on it that will blink when you have a CEL. One short blink=1, long=10. (Ex: 2 short = code 2, 3 short + 1 long = 13, etc.). There will be pauses in between individual codes. Get the code and report back.

p28 is an obd-1 ecu. you should use a jumper in the same way the 92-95 civics do to check your codes. the codes will then blink on your dash in the form of the check engine light.
good luck.
