Default vaccum leak (idle problem) please help

I am trying to fix a roaming idle and think it might be a leak. does anybody have a pic of which hoses to check. And what is the best thing to check the hoses with?

Thank you

Phil

listen for a leak....if you cant hear one, i would pull the hoses off and see which ones affect the way it runs. if you pull one off and it doesnt affect the idle at all, that should be the one your looking for.

i would check your IAVC (replace it with another) and tighten the little white plunger inside the throttle body. search for idle problems to see the plunger deal i am talking about..

use carb cleaner to check for the leak, its easier than taking off the hoses. spray the c/c and if the idle goes up, theres your leak. dont forget to check the intake manifold and throttle body gaskets. if the gaskets are bad, that can cause a vacuum leak too.

or you can clean your iacv with carb/intake cleaner. i had did that and i also found that my wire were loose for the iacv. and now runs good.
