Default Stock fuel pressure regulator and boost

Does the stock fuel pressure regulator have a 1:1 Boost/Vacuum Rise Ratio?

Yup...stock fuel rail and regulator are good for around 500whp. The stock FPR is more reliable then probably many of these aftermarket ones.

i would say rail and adj reg to 500, both stock around 400

getting up that high needs adjustments in base to work with bigger injectors.

Until recently when I have decided to go bigger I have been making 479whp on a AEM Fuel Rail with the stock FPR and 1000cc injectors.

Fuel rail in the 400's, I have yet to see a need for an aftermarket regulator but I also haven't been given a car still equipped with one past 636 whp. So, that's the extent of my knowledge on the subject but I'm willing to bet money a stocker is good until 700 or more.

FYI, not all stock FPRs are created equal. Compare some and only use the "big exit" FPRs when pushing past 400 or using a 255HP or larger fuel pump.

I've never needed to adjust base pressure, and set all aftermarket FPRs to stock, anyway. I tune primarily 1000cc, with a few 1100-1200cc injectors like this. The last car I upped the fuel pressure with Precision 1000cc to get more top end out of them ended up running a bit crappy at idle, I don't think they liked 55 psi base FP from an A1000, and they didn't require a whole lot or even any of leaning out under boost coming from the previous stock FP tune. High pressures really do fight injector opening events, and I suspect I could have hit 717 without fooling around with the FPR since the car nets a .38 bsfc.

I have a question on oem fpr as well. I bought rc 750cc injectors, and I called my tuner to see what else I would need. He told me to get an aftermarker fuel rail and a 200$ fpr.
The thing is I have a greddy kit, and I will only be making ~300 whp. Do I really need all those extra parts?

Wow, reading comprehension and some people. Do you disregard info unless it directed solely at you? Read the previous post.

i was just wondering if a stock regulator with a walbro 255 pump ok for boost? the pressure is around 45-50. i heard that having too much fuel pressure will cause your cylinders to become distorted (egg shaped).

Cool beans. I will then set my map for 750s and take my car to get it tuned.
