Default Need Feedback on RHD conversion????

I'm looking to buy a 99-00 civic si and i was planning on doing a rhd conversion. There's a place called labjunkies in san bernardino, ca. I was wondering if anyone on here has done a conversion with them or knows anyone that has done one with them. I would really like your feedback. They're website is http://www.labjunkies.com

Just my opinion but if you want a true RHD look into importing them from Canada i was looking at importing an SiR a little while back. I'm still doing the research but it doesn't seem to be to bad.

I don't know how many genuine 99/00 RHD civics you'll find up here considering it isn't even legal to register them here until they are 15 years old.

The truth is it's not worth importing a honda, think about it a eg6 sir hb will cost about 5-6000 bucks depends on the cond. and who you get it threw, the resale on a true jdm right drive is 10-15000 bucks, thats bearly double the amount of the price you paid for it now you pay 4-8000 bucks on a R32 GTR skyline, and turn and sell it for 25-30000 bucks, thats alot more bang for you buck, if you ask me.
I have sold EG6's RHD cov. for 10000 bucks, all day long, and spent alot less time and money doing it. and it's alot easyer, as for paper work and all the importing **** you whould have to do. As for THE LAB they do some clean work, I would go threw them to get the cov. done. they will hook you up, Talk to Chris and tell him Gilbert from texas sent you. good luck and let me know how it turns out.

After doing my own RHD conversion in the garage, I can say that the labor cost is going to be outrageous, as it should be. It only cost me $400 for the clip, but the time I spent on it, I can safely say I'll never do another one. It's so time consuming to do it right. If I still lived in the 909, I would never spend this much time only to have the thing stolen.

i have delt with lab junkies for a swap on an old civic i had.. and i drove 2 and a half hours to get out there, and it looked nothing like i expected, junky unorginized shop and all around just a bad experience, the tranny they gave me grinded on 3rd, he tried arguing telling me it was normal finally he replaced so i had 2 come back a week later bc he claimed he couldnt get a new one. an than my vtec never worked.. me and the guy i delt with test drove it and he tried telling me it was completely working which shows me he and the shop are shady unproffesional people. and to top it off even worse, i asked for my old single cam swap before we even did new swap and when i came back he said it was gone because he sold it to another customer... this place is crap.. i hate the whole shop. its shady, we got into an aguement over all of this and the owner laughed at me and pretty much had all his goons come into the office to try and intimidate me... it was just bad horrible buisiness. if you dont believe me.. look them up on the BETTER BUISINESS BUREAU they have numerous cases where they never took care or resolved issues with customers, and they dont even respond to the b.b.b. anymore... what does that tell you?? bad stuff...

but good luck if you go with them..

deffinetly a bad shop.. have had to fix problems that came from them... i guess they have good deals but seem to cost you more money in the end to fix problems... very sloppy work...

I did my own conversion on my eg and its labor intensive but not as bad as everyone makes it. I started with a completely stripped hatch on a friday night and by sunday morning at 10 am the car was being loading on a trailer rhd to be put back together. 24 hours labor total.

I plan on doing another conversion to my integra now. doing a conversion is nice when it comes to papers and plus rhd cars are just fun in general. the looks and compliments make the whole ideal worth while. dont listen to people that say its dumb because you cant go through drive throughs. so what just go in and watch from the windows at all the people that check out your ride and fall in love with it.

totally worth doing the rhd swap good luck
