Default RHD Conversion

Just wondering where it would be possible to buy everything needed to do a right hand drive conversion on my 01 LS and maybe get some more information on it. Looked through this site wasnt too helped out by it just by searching. Thank you.

Also anything to look out for?

Im not worried about doing the conversion, im very experienced with electrical and fairly mechanically inclined.

Im trying not to buy an entire front clip, I already have a JDM front end and a very strong motor. Just looking for the firewall, dash, steering rack and pedal assembly. And anything else i might need

I was *this* close to doing the RHD conversion. I had the front clip and all necessary components. After about 1 weekend for drilling out the welds, I knew I got in over my head. I have 13 years of Honda automotive experience under my belt...I still abondoned ship. So yeah, it's difficult but more than anything it's time consuming.

That being said, the main hurdle is drilling out the welds on both the LHD and RHD firewalls. Once you do that, the only other hurdle is the brake hard lines. It would be difficult to source RHD hardlines, so you'll have to custom bend your own and make your own fittings.

Other than those two things, everything else is cakewalk since it's just a matter of bolting everything back to the RHD firewall and RHD subframe; and running the wiring. You can reuse your stock wiring, just have to flip it over for RHD.

Thanks for the link, that was very helpful. Was there any particular reason you decided to stop or just didnt have all teh time that a conversion like this needs?

Also where did you purchase the parts to do this conversion?

No problem, it was the drilling out the welds that did it for me. Its very very time consuming and frustrating. The welds are covered by some type of bead sealant, which needs to be removed to expose the welds. Then the welds are in some hard to get areas and bad angles that proved to be difficult to get with a drill. I realized that even after I get all the welds off and remove the firewall from the JDM clip, I now must do the exact same thing to my USDM firewall. I said forget it. I'd rather pay someone or just outright by a RHD car.

I bought the parts from a guy locally. I paid about $300 for everything, I ended up selling it for $200 flat.

Cool thing though, the clip came with OG Mugen pedals. I was happy about that, so in the end I think I came up.

Check this dude's build, he just turned 18 a few days ago. He got a Civic clip, and has already got the firewall swapped over and is currently working on getting it welded up. He has HUNDREDS of pics of the build progress so far.

Yeah thanks guys for all the links and info its helping a lot.

My cituation is that im in school now for a little over a year longer and due to recent theft activity where my school is i decided to bring my car back home. So while my car is home i was trying to think of a project to do to my car and i figured this one would be perfect because it takes more time than money, and even though i dont have either right now i still have a lot more time than i do money.

But no one knows of a place online or anything where they sell teh parts for this swap?

I think it would be easier and possibly cheaper just to buy a clip like the guy did for his Civic build that I linked. That way it should already have all the RHD parts you need.
