02 RSX driver window is going crazy, when i hit the switch once to make it go up, goes up about 3/4 of the way then stops and comes back town to about 1/4 and stops, and i do it over and over about 3 or 4 times until it finally stays up or unless i had the switch the whole way up, what do u guys think it is???? could it be the switch going bad or fuse?? what could it be????
Another question , it might be stupid but i never got the manual when i bought the car, but on the dash right in the middle towards the front there a little black sensor looking thing, what is it?? when i bought the car the person said it had rain sensor controls, is that it ? or is it something else?

 

its actually a common problem in our rsx's
try cleaning the rubber track to see if that helps

there's a number of reason why it doesn't go up from what i've read

Bump for an answer. I always wondered what that was awell.

 

its a preinstalled NOS button... so when ur racing u have to lean forward to press it while puttin the pedal to the metal

 

mine does it rarely, but it's still annoying when it happens, i had the same problem in my ep3

 

i have an 04 rsx's and it happens once in a while too

 

I suggest bringing it to a mechanic.

WTF?

 

Your window automatically rolls back down when its in the auto function if something is in its way, like a hand or someones head. Their right about cleaning the rubber part. Did you recently tint your windows? I just had mine done and the extra drag on the window always makes it roll back down. It does the same thing if there is frost or ice on my window.

yah mines does this to alot ill try cleaning the rubber thing.

 

The little black thing is your temp sensor. When you turn your AC to auto thats where it reads temp and adjusts for it.

Anyway to make the switch go up without a safety cut? There is a sunroof mod to make it close and bypass that stupid feature, so what about the window. It amazes me how rational people have to pay for the stupidity of others.
