Default help my window wont go down and ive searched!

I have a 2000 honda civic ex 2dr, and about a few months ago i rolled my driver side window alll the way up, and it has yet to come down . I checked all of the wiring with an ohm meter and i beleive that it is all good, so i went ahead and purchased a new window motor and regulator. I Got my regulator in the mail today and took off the door panel, switches and door handle and i went ahead and plugged my new motor in. i moved the switch and nothing happened. So i have been sitting here on honda-tech for the past hour or so searching to see if anyone else has had this problem, but i have not found anything. So I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before. My passenger window works fine, via the passenger side switch and the driver side switch. Do you think that my driver side switch may be bad, or could it be a fuse or a relay that i overlooked, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also took apart the window switch and noticed that there is a relay inside of it also. Does this relay only control the driver side window, and could it have gone bad?

I have the exact same problem on my 2000 Si, except it's on the passenger side. I did the same thing you did by installing a new motor and it isn't working.

I took apart the driver side switch and i noticed that there was a black box that apears to be a relay, Does anyone know if this relay, if it is a relay, is only for the driver side window?

Check your child safety lock and insure it's off....don't ask me how I know.

Of course, that ended up being the least of my problems - the weatherstripping turned out to be a bigger problem.
