Default B-series head info needed

Ok, so last week I noticed my valves started tapping on my b20b. I thought that i'd be able to just adjust them but then i was googling around today at work and I found some info about b20 heads needing to be replaced because of valve seats wearing out. From what i read it seems some late 90's b20b's were known to need head replacements because of this problem . I've never heard of this. So just incase i need a new head I'm debating on which head to get. I would go vtec if i can find one at a decent price but I doubt that so I might just get an LS head. Then i started thinkin about b18a's and I was just wondering what would be the pros/cons of such a combination? A b20b block with a b18a head. as far as i know, all b-series blocks and heads should be interchangeable except for the early preludes b20a right? would this be a dumb idea, would i notice any big loses in performance? My engine is basically stock. I have a maglaflow cat, dnx mid pipe and flowmaster rear section. Thats about it except for a cheap autozone "racing"air filter. What would I use to do this, which head gasket, timing belt ? This is just an idea because there's lots of DA's in the junk yards around were i live so getting a DA head is real easy.

I couldn't say with 100% confidence, but I believe I had read on here that the CRV B20 head and LS B18 head are the same thing.

the b20 head has little bigger ports... (p8r head)
your better off going with another b20 head.

If i were in your situation, I would keep the short block and get a b16 vtec head for $350 complete.
