The valvecover? take all the bolts out then pry it off with a flat head screwdriver. Over time, the gasket will get sticky from heat and oil. perfectly normal. Its metal, you wont hurt it. Now, if it takes a pry bar, then you're doing something wrong.

use silicone gasket sealer when reinstalling the cover, along with a new gasket if you are worried about a leak.

Take out all four nuts, (assuming it is a D-15 or D-16)
Then use a pick to remove the four grommets...

Then take a dead-blow hammer and tap it on the ends
and sides and it should break loose.

As a last resort,You could take the oil cap off and pry gently
between the rocker arms and the cover..
