Default Little OT: Turbo and Supercharger question

Okay, so a turbo uses an intercooler to cool the intake air, then why doesn't a supercharger do the same? Why does Jackson uses a water injection deal?

there are things called aftercoolers for Superchargers, but none seem to work as well as WIK's. (Thats even giving the WIK some credit.)

Supposedly the Hondata gasket lowers temperatures ~20 degrees. Never seen it proven or on paper, but its what I've heard. Seems like a good investment, even if you aren't going to use Hondata... (in regards to S/C'ing.)

Hard to package a intercooler when the charger is on the manifold.

How do these rumors get started about you and FI?

can't use an intercooler with a supercharger because the supercharger IS the intake manifold. and water injection is more efficient to lower temperatures in the combustion chamber

"can't use an intercooler with a supercharger because the supercharger IS the intake manifold. and water injection is more efficient to lower temperatures in the combustion chamber"

The charger is the intake manafold? Since when????? The reason JR, etc... hasn't made a aftercooler type setup that is between the manafold and the charger is because of the work, etc... to install and make it. A few people have actually made their own setups and seem to love it, however JR or a company has yet to follow and make their own.
As for the JR here's how it really works:
The intake connects to the throttle body like stock. The throttle body connects to a S shaped pipe the bends and turn down into a oval shaped opening that connects to one end of the blower. The air then goes into the blower and is spun by the rotors inside it. These rotors then shove all that air up into the manafold where it is then sent into the engine. When your at partial throttle or at idle, etc... a little bypass valve opens up in the S-pipe/manafold area which bypass's the air.

Anyway the best way to drop temps with a JRSC is getting a Hondata gasket. Also try little tricks to keep it cool like water injection, etc... is ok, however me personaly I don't like the idea of spraying water into my engine.

Yeah, I would tend to agree with that. I guess though as long as the internal temperatures are enough to keep the water vaporized all the way out of the engine there should be any real problems.

I was referring to the JRSC. And my statement was a little broad, but my point was it replaces the stock intake manifold, comparing to a turbo you keep the stock one ( obviously). And Hondata gasket is a great upgrade, but water injection is also very efficient now. Especially the Aquamist system.
