Water In Driver Side Floor
Does anyone else have this problem? Windows are dry indide and so is headliner so I ruled those out. I read some where it can be coming from the black piece below the front wipers. That I might need to change some rubber seal. If anyone can offer some input it would be great!
Front windshield area possibly? I used to have the same leak on my CRX but it was on the passenger side.
I took out the carpet and stood inside the car while someone else hosed the outside of the car. Water started to come in from under the dash area, I sealed that black plastic piece that goes on the bottom of the windshield and problem solved.

yes it is an si ...I have tried to find a owners manual to see about those sunroof drains..i know they say to blow compressed air to clear them out..i look in side that area and see nothing, or maybe Im just blind..anyways I'm going to try the black peice under the windshield..i noticed it is missing the tabs that hold in place..if anyone else has some more input..it'll be great

no the tabs that hold the " cowl panel" down..its missing like 3 of themmmso i guess water can go thru those holes maybe....what about using some black silicone sealant on the cowl panel??any one else do this??
Its under the glovebox, at the heater core area. Look under there with a flashlight and you'll see a rubber tube running from the bottom of the black moulded box (heater core) to the firewall. It will be right at the top of the where your carpet ends, in the middle.
When you turn your a/c on, condensation forms on the condenser (which is also inside the black box) because of the cold dry surface/ warm moist air. As the water drips off of the condenser, it collects in the bottom of the "black box". That water drains out the hose, thru the firewall, and onto the ground outside the vehicle. This is why everyone's car's drip water from underneath when you see them driving in traffic in the summer.
You need to determine if this is happening because of water from outside (ie: rain, carwash) or if it starts when you turn on your a/c (the aforementioned drain tube).
If your cowl is already loose, remove it look for possible leaks. Drop a hose on top of your windshield and crank it up. sit inside the passenger side with the carpet pulled back and look to see where, if at all, the water is coming from.
Water leaks, electrical problems, and squeaks can be very troublesome, and are usually solved by process of elimination.
Let us know what you find, and what you do to repair it. This thread will be useless when found under a search later on if you don't. Good Luck!
