motor swap. what am i missing or what else do i need to do.
k this is my winter beaters and the rod snapped and put 3 holes in the block. i picked up a 97 ek sohc from my buddy, so what do i need to do to swap this into my 1990 civic hatch 4spd.
i know the ovbious:
-use old dizzy
-change timing belt side mount and rear mount
-wire in the extra injectors
-spindles and axles for 4spd-5spd tranny
....
so what else do i need to do? am i missing anything or is that it?

umm its easier then that, just put the entire head from your engine right on top of the new block you have.... entire head meaning everything that goes with it... dizzy intake manifold. just swap the blocks straight across
OR u can use the newer head and just bolt up the dizzy and the intake. And u will have to extend the two coolant wires for the sensor it on the goose neck not on the block. The rest should be easy.

yeah the #1 piston smacked the intake valves on the reliefs. they dont look to bad but im not gonna risk it if they bent..
ok intake mani swap sounds easier.

yea if you want easy just take the block and head out and just swap the new block and head in. use the old intake mani and old dizzy.that way you wont really have to fuss with wiring
