Default Questions?

I got some Pistons and trying to figure what they are now I know PR3 is Factory so the rods are stock but the pistons say PCTX and HF2 P but the P is on its side. Ive Searched and come up with Type R pistons but im trying to make sure anyone got more info thanks

looks like CTR high compressions pistons to me, i have a set CTR pistons laying at my garage.i would be able to tell u for sure when i get home tonight

Ya thats why I was leading to with the High dome but the guy I got it from kept telling me his block was bored and there not stock thats all he kept saying

what kind of block are u getting? and also from the pics. i cant tell if thats oem honda CTR pistons or aftermarket

I have my B16A Factory Oil Cooled I'm going to be using I got these for free cause the forth piston has Valve taps on it and I dont think it can be fixed

i have a b16a too and u can try to adjust valve springs

Have a machine shop check the pistons and the cylinder bores to iff if those pistons will work in your block.

Well you don't know the true bore size, or if your cylinders are perfectly round or not.

It'd be a shame to buy new rings, build the engine, only to find that it smokes or has wriost pin slap/rattle because either your engine was overbored slightly and those pistons are a touch too small, or that your cylinders were egg shaped and it needed a rebore/hone and new oversized pistons.

I'm not slapping the motor together. I know how to build one its getting honed out and everything Checked out . Cause I would be hella mad if it smoked after it all put together

Are you replacing exhaust valve guides and all of the valvestem seals?

If not it may still smoke even if the bottom end is solid.

My head is getting the most attention lol. Everything new .005 Over sized exhaust and intake valves from Skunk2, Dual Valve springs,CTR retainers, Skunk2 Stage 2 cam, OEM seals. Port and polish, 3 Angle valve job the works
