B18 Swapped Head Car Won't Idle
so i have a 1991 civic hatch std i got a b18a1 it ran perfect then last night i changed the head with a b18b obd 2 with crower stage ones now my car wont idle unless i give it gas no cel for the first 10 seconds i get code 14 aivc i think i cleaned it nothing it ran fine that morning. Please help
this might help diagnose where the problem is comming from, in the intake manifold throttle body, there should be 2 holes, one for the iacv and the other for the fitv, cover the top one with your finger when you start the car and see if it idles fine, the try it with the bottom. usually at start up, the fitv controls idle, then as the car warms up the iacv takes over. just my .02
Make sure the eacv is plugged in. Also trace wires and check for cuts in the wire.
Mine did the same thing in the winter, i had to give it gas to stay on. It the summer it was fine just idle a little low. Its either your circuit or sensor
Since you removed the head did you recheck your cam timing??
