how to torque pulley bolt?
Im having trouble getting my crank pulley bolt to spec (130ft.lbs.) when it gets to about 80 or so it just spins the crank with it. I know theres a special tool but i want to get my car fixed in under the week it would take to get here. I read on here something about putting the car in fifth and someone holding the brakes. Would that really work? Any other suggestions besides taking the starter off and jamming the flywheel?
Thanks
Tom

you can take off the bottom flywheel cover and jamb it from there with a crowbar while someone torques it

yea my motor was out so i used an impact gun, u can try this though see if u can get the timing belt on and build up enough compression to torque it to 130, not sure if thisll even work at all but any advice is better than no advice.
